Pt. Uday Kumar Mallick participate in many prestigious festival in India & abroad Pt. Mallick belong from Darbhanga Gharana whose well known for 350 yrs. Rich tradition for our country. He received training under his father Sangeet Acharya Late Pandit Chandra Kumar Mallick and Grand Father Pandit Ram Chatur Mallick. He has awarded many prestigious award by state and India Govt.

In 1992 Fellowship award by Dept. Culture HRD Govt. of India.

He is the founder of Dhrupad Academy, Delhi.
He has composed about many freedom fighters and great poet, Mahatma Gandhi, kabir, Kavi Kokil Vidyapati, Swami Haridas.
